This code establishes clear and ethical parameters for the the International Real Estate Institute (EAA). Failure to uphold these professional standards is grounds for temporary suspension or revocation of membership.
- IREI members must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
- Members must respect the professional reputation of other institute members.
- Members shall foster and maintain transparency - and particularly fairness and impartiality - in all matters relating to real estate transactions, assignments and projects.
- Members must strive to maintain and improve professional standards in the real estate industry and be willing to assist IREI to that end.
- Members must respect the confidentiality of their relationship with IREI and the membership.
- Members shall accept only those projects or assignments for which he/she has the ability to perform in a competent and professional manner.
- Members shall not accept projects or assignments evidencing a conflict of interest.
- Members must not engage in any practice that is in violation of common industry standards, regulations or the law.
